Hi! Meet The Gang and join the party! ... Come Right In

Most every place in the Shop has a place for relevant comments ... the featured post and all the features. It gets kinda messy and can be confusing when banter is mixed with comments relevant to some published post but this here is a special place ... here you can talk about anything, it don't have to be relevant or nothing! Anyone can start a discussion, ask questions ... join in the banter ... meet new folks and make new friends!
Sometimes we'll have a suggested subject for discussion other times not ... currently it's Dealer's Choice. Enjoy yourself ... candy's always on the house, coffee and cokes too!

Well, There's a new Featured Post up ... something put together quick ... "That's Baseball" ... in honor of last night's victory and defeat the night before that!
We'll be out of pocket much of the time over the next few days if things go according to plan.
That's the plan but you just never know ... all you can do is put a good swing on the ball ... do the best you can and hit it hard! It's out of your hands after that ... and of course, there's always the wind!
For those looking for "People Are Funny" ... it's in the "Now Playing" section of the Magic Moments" Special Feature ... as are "Crazy Ralph Schwartz" and "Miss Mildred, Charlie Brown, and Little Joe" ... all related to "Even a Caveman ..."
Well, the boys go for a sweep today and they'll be playng inside so the howling wind should be less of a factor.
If we score eight or more, chances are that Lowe will pitch well enough to keep us in the game an give us a chance to win
Go Braves!
Say something pragmatic Bobby ... "If we stay with it for a while, it could produce some runs" ... there you have it folks, proof positive that our Manager hasn't lost a step and why he's a cinch HOFer!
He right of course, if they stay with it for a while, it might .... then again, it might not!
Well, at least Bobby's smarter than ONE other manager in MLB; walking Melky to get to Prado is a good way to get fired for incompetence.
New post over in the Stall ...
baby seal played some little league ball and for a time baby seal batted third. then, one day, a new kid came to the team and this kid could hit like no one else on the team. jimmy smith decided to bat the new kid seventh but later moved the kid to fifth, then second, all the while protecting baby seal at third in the order. then, one day, baby seal's weakness was exploited . . . no ears! opposing pitchers would throw pitches up around where baby seal's ears would be (if baby seal had ears) and the umpire would call strikes on baby seal because the umpire always looked at the ears to see if a pitch was high. this was a dilemma for coach jimmy smith. finally, baby seal said half-heartedly, "batting third is not so important to this seal anymore because now baby seal is more of a get-on-base type seal than a get a hit when the team needs it seal." jimmy smith just guffawed and said, "not much difference in batting second and batting third" but jimmy smith was thinking something else. journalist was wondering if this has ever happened anywhere else and what was the result?
I think I can recall a time when the Braves own Bobby Cox did not react when a player was going badly and another was hot. Bobby made absolutely no adjustments at all. Some said that Bobby would let a veteran player fail again and again and never try to put someone else in that might produce another result. I never thought much about it until I watched Andruw and Francoeur and Norton. Watching those three convinced me that all three have ears and there is no reason to keep batting them again and again in the same situations, getting the same results, and expect anything more from them. It is much like blogging here and producing award winning posts like we so often do and having those posts read by non-spinster types who cannot appreciate the severity of the levity in posts with brevity.
I am going to a wine tasting tonight and if I play my cards right I should be able to drink a bottle of wine, a little at a time, while consuming some bland crackers and tasty cheeses from around the world. Wine tasting and spinsterdom go together very well. Spinsters almost never miss a wine tasting. Yes, sometimes we may get a bit rowdy but for the most part we are well behaved at wine tasting galas. Tonight, I plan to taste a little of every wine in the place while watching the Braves game on my Blackberry. Wish me luck and wish Derek Lowe luck, too.
Nothing but spinsters blogging here. Spinsters rule. A spinster will take a blog and run everyone off after a time. That is the plan of the spinster. Spinsters can be cruel. Spinsters can make a pot roast and potatoes and seem kind and caring and then . . . BOOM! Never trust a spinster.
Go Braves!
Kenshin Kawakami was bothered by a blister that developed on his foot during his last start against the Nationals ... looking to provide some more comfort for his feet, he recently ordered some new footwear from Nike ... black, adorned with red shoelaces and gold spikes ... he should be wearing them tomorrow!
Well, I called the comeback in the third inning ... don't know why!
In Chattanooga ... infrequent and poor Internet access ... later!
Infielders Albaro Campusano, Geraldo Rodriguez and Amadeo Zazueta ... currently playing for Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach, will all immediately begin serving their 50 game suspensions.
Them ain't Danish names but something's rotten ...

Sounds like a good replacement for Larry!
I could tatoo Chipper for you. Bring him over after the game and I will tattoo him just right. I was thinking where we might tattoo him since we are looking for a healthy and heretofore uninjured location. The buttocks come to mind . . .
Here's a shout out to all you spinsters. Where is everybody? This is just like a spinster blog . . . running everybody off. When I first started blogging here everybody was sharing recipes and enjoying each others company and now we find ourselves with less than a post a day and I don't agree with any of those. Spinsters can be hard critics. I hope more of you will post over the holiday weekend or we may have to create yet another blog and build interest so we will have someone to run off. Spinsters unite!
toe troubles pop up with the atlanta braves as brent clevlen is now on the disabled list with a sprained big toe. why was this information withheld? is it because it was toe trouble and there are no real toe journalists left in atlanta? in fact, atlanta has almost no journalists at all and the newspaper is so narrow it no longer covers a shelf properly. back in the old days toe journalists would have been all over this story and the braves would have been talking some serious toe. toes are not to be trifled with.
Don't mind me ... just passing through
I read what you said over in that stall! Not used to folks wanting me around but I'll be back.
New post over there ...
